The department Global Service Repair & Maintenance is responsible for the After Sales & Service in the field of mobile automation. This includes a technical service that ensures a helping hand for customers that are in need for troubleshooting, a spare parts unit that provides the right devices for the AGVs in case of damage, as well as a service training & documentation management that provides all manuals for every Operating Unit. The department is working closely with the location in Germany and North America, so an international exchange is given. The working environment is open, honest and agile. This department offers many opportunities to leave own footprints and to strengthen the overall service organisation across Europe. To further strengthen the department, we are looking for you as “Technical Writer Project & Product Documentation (m / f / x)” at location in Zwijndrecht (Antwerp) as soon as possible.
+ You develop manuals and technical related documentation and keep them up-to-date. Among the targets are end customers, service engineers.
+ You assist in the preparation and review of project documentation and training course material. Standardisation and quality take precedence in this.
+ You develop didactic material to support the trainings. (e.g. technical documentation, demo movies).
+ You contribute to the standardisation of documentation within the Kion group (creation of standard templates, documents, technical wordlists …).
+ You contribute to the standardisation of tools / platforms across the Kion group for making and releasing documentation.
+ You coördinate and facilitate the translation process, including review and approval of translated documentation.
+ You perform the necessary lay-outing, readability and publishing of the final documents.
+ You monitor on a consistent document management.
+ You continously remain up-to-date of new trends and developments in your field of knowledge and share your knowledge and experience within the organisation.
+ Optional : Organise and facilitate training courses.
+ Optional : Provide technical trainings but also more general trainings, both in-house and externally.
+ You have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
+ You are fluent (spoken, written) in English. Additional languages are a plus.
+ You have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with skills in technical writing, documentation writing, office automation, presentation tools and publishing.
+ You have a proactive attitude, are communicative (i.e. good listener) and customer-oriented.
+ You are able to establish and maintain relationships with co-workers.
+ You have a solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
+ You are able to travel throughout Europe, 10 % of the time.
+ Knowledge of Wiki (conﬂuence) and collaborative tools (SharePoint).
+ Experience with one or more technical writer tools (Adobe Framemaker, InDesign, ….).
+ Experience on making small video production software.
+ Rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working.
+ Giving training to groups of 20 people or less.
+ Setting and managing multiple priorities.
