**Position title:** Operations Manager
**Location:** Sint-Niklaas, Belgium
**Reports to:** Sr. Plant Manager
**Contract type:** permanent, full-time, day shift
As an Operations Manager you will provide day-to-day leadership to the **DYMO production & warehouse** teams overseeing all daily operations, managing the workforce and working on continuous improvement. Reporting to the Sr. Plant Manager, you will have 4 direct reports and manage overall team of 100+ employees indirectly. You will drive high performance culture to achieve a seamless, safe and efficient operations flow in our modern, **highly automated manufacturing site** in Sint-Niklaas.
+ Oversee all areas of production (coating, converting, injection moulding, printing & die-cutting, assembly, packaging) and warehouse (reception, line feeding, picking, shipping)
+ Responsible for delivering good products on time to the global warehouses as planned by supply chain, and thus playing a crucial factor in the service level for the DYMO consumables.
+ Responsible for optimizing the direct labour cost, in balance with service and quality targets, to minimize the scrap & waste cost of direct and indirect materials.
+ Manage the production cost center expenses.
+ Prepare a yearly budget for the production and warehouse, including related investments.
+ Implement productivity projects and lead **continuous improvement activities in manufacturing and warehouse** .
+ Execute corporate HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) programs
+ Cooperate in maintaining the **ISO-system** .
+ Manage and motivate the team as well as look for training opportunities to develop the team members.
+ Maintain positive & constructive working relation with the Labor Unions.
+ Master or Bachelor degree in electromechanical or industrial engineering.
+ 10+ years of experience in a similar role **leading manufacturing and warehouse activities** .
+ MS Office software skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access.
+ Fluent in Dutch and English, in oral and written; German is an asset.

+ Excellent people leadership skills, good communication skills and diplomatic approach with social partners.
+ Demonstrated Operational Excellence skills and willing to further develop in this area.
+ Creative mind, out-of-the-box thinker.
+ Proven track record of successfully leading process improvement projects within a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
