Innovisk EU will operate as a Mandated Underwriter, the new category of insurance intermediary recently introduced by the FSMA.
Under guidance of the IGHRC, the role will require interaction with the senior executives and the operations teams of Innovisk as well as the underwriters within the Mandated Underwriter to ensure that all relevant regulatory, compliance and risk management policies and procedures are documented, in place, followed, embedded and evidenced through developed reports.
+ To work for and alongside the Innovisk Global Head of Risk and Compliance (‘IGHRC’) who is helping to shape and define further the Innovisk global enterprise risk management and compliance regime and practices within the First Line of Defence (1 LOD).
+ To work closely with the Specialist Underwriter / Effective Director and Responsible for Distribution Innovisk EU (Gerant) and the Innovisk Global Head of Operations to ensure that risk and compliance activity is aligned with underwriting and operational activity.
+ The role is mainly focussed on fulfilling the 1LOD compliance activity within Innovisk EU, attentive specifically to regulatory, risk and compliance requirements of operating as a regulated Mandated Underwriter with permission from the FSMA.
+ The role may require engagement throughout the wider Innovisk, always subject to the guidance and oversight of the IGHRC.
+ To assist the IGHRC provide Company Secretarial support within Innovisk Europe SPRL.
+ Under guidance of the IGHRC to liaise with WTW Risk and Compliance teams where they provide an oversight and advice role.
+ Under guidance of the IGHRC to liaise with the Legal team in 2LOD to ensure that all risk management and compliance activities as well as business activities are carried out with a high level of attention to best practice.
+ To remain current with Belgian and European compliance and regulatory requirements and to assist the IGHRC in providing advice to the Innovisk senior executive team for the further development of the Innovisk business.
+ Assist the IGHRC in developing a Compliance Monitoring Plan which reflects the risk profile of Innovisk EU; under the guidance of the IGHRC carry out monitoring reviews in accordance with a Monitoring Plan which may include on-site visits and will involve the review of management information provided by Innovisk EU, self-assessments, complaints, and errors and omissions data, together with recommending actions to be taken.
+ Under the guidance of the IGHRC to compare and analyse completed self-assessments and other MI produced by Innovisk EU, compliance monitoring reports and internal/external audit reports and discuss findings with IGHRC as a means of determining any potential systemic risks, or weaknesses in internal controls and training.
+ Provide support and guidance to Innovisk EU in understanding its responsibilities and obligations under relevant policies (e.g. Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Conflicts of interest, Financial Crime, Gifts & Entertainment, KYC, Complaints, Sanctions, Third Party Payments,); respond to queries on the interpretation of relevant compliance policies.
+ Support and maintain the risk registers for Innovisk EU.
+ Be the first point of contact for KYC and sanctions queries arising from Innovisk EU.
+ Manage and maintain the client TOBA process and register.
+ Assist IGHRC as directed in dealing with licensing and regulatory issues, including liaison with the internal and external parties where necessary.
+ Work with IGHRC to identify compliance training needs and support the development of the training plan for the year, support the delivery of specific training materials for the underwriting platforms where appropriate.
+ Ensure that all complaints are dealt with appropriately.
+ Assist with queries relating to GDPR.
+ Discuss promptly with the IGHRC any compliance or regulatory issues arising in Innovisk EU; agree the appropriate action and record the issue in the appropriate log/ database; and agree the corrective action to be taken including responsibility, timelines and review date.
+ Preferably a ‘Diplome de Master’, else a ‘Diplome de Bachelor comportant au moins 11 credits pour les connaissances techniques en assurance et 3 credits pour la gestion d’entreprises’.
+ Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.
+ Professional experience of at least one year within an insurance broking or insurance environment or within a highly – regulated business environment.
+ A good knowledge of Binding Authorities and insurance coverages.
+ Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external stakeholders; gains their trust and respect.
