Automated guided vehicles (AGVs) are growing in complexity and capability. In the Mechatronics Engineering Department AGV as a “Mechanical Engineer Project Execution – Mobile Automation (m / f / d)”, you take full responsibility for mechanical engineering of medium complexity vehicles according to defined concepts. The department is working closely with locations in Central Europe, so an international exchange is given. The working environment is open, honest and agile and introduces very good opportunities.

To further strengthen the department, we are looking for you as “Mechanical Engineer Project Execution – Mobile Automation (m / f / x)” at location Zwijndrecht (Antwerp) as soon as possible.


+ You assist in defining project concepting with a focus on standardisation and cross project conformity

+ In collaboration with lead engineers you are responsible for mechanical engineering of complex project vehicles

+ You validate the design and concept with proficient 3d-modelling and professional production engineering drawings

+ You can assist and guide junior mechanical engineers, with an emphasis on process and procedure

+ You actively implement and help to refine process and procedure in collaboration with team manager and lead engineers

+ You work efficiently according to agreed project planning and align with team manager, electrical and software engineering to drive the project forward

+ You cultivate and promote our corporate values – integrity, collaboration, courage, excellence

+ Bachelor’s degree or comparable training, preferably with a technical engineering focus

+ Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience within Automation Industry, (Automated) Material Handling Solutions, Machinery & Industrial Engineering or related machine building industries

+ Strong technical knowledge and understanding

+ You are skilled in the use of SolidWorks and its EPDM system

+ Working knowledge of ERP systems and issue tracking systems (SAP, JIRA..) is an asset.

+ Team player with a high level of communication skills

+ Fluent in English. Dutch, German and French is an asset
