As the Technical Sales Account Manager for the 3M Food Safety Division you will target under penetrated 3M accounts in priority segments to drive growth programs using multiple 3M Food Safety solution technologies and drive activities to convert and acquire new accounts. Reporting to the Division Manager, you will also work closely with other cross functional team members.
+ Drive activities to acquire, convert and develop new Accounts within the priority business segments drive programs within assigned key accounts for growth.
+ Using consultative selling as a norm, promote, sell and support a multiple range of 3M products and solutions, drive key priority programs within identified key accounts priority segments.
+ Maintain strong customer relationships at all levels of management and strong engagement with key influencers and opinion leaders (KOL’s), such as regulatory body officials, industry specialists, etc. who can assist drive key program evaluation and technology approvals.
+ Maintain strong Salesforce opportunity hopper.
+ You are experienced in technical sales, key account and territory management. Experience within food testing, diagnostics, contract lab industries preferable.
+ Prior experience in food microbiology, experience working for or selling products / services to test laboratories, Dairy, Meat, or Processed foods markets are highly desirable.
+ Hands on experience with both traditional and rapid methods of testing (Molecular, PCR) and a solid understanding of food micro process flow will be an advantage.
+ Strong analytical ability, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
+ Frequently travel, and manage sales territories / key accounts with minimum supervision
+ Key account program development and project management experience.
+ Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including presentation skills.
+ Display strong work ethic, and desire to learn and develop.
