Minimum qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

+ 10 years experience in an analytical strategic project management role.

+ Ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically.

Preferred qualifications:

+ Sales and/or marketing and digital experience, with experience in structuring and implementing initiatives with sales teams.

+ Ability to lead complex operational and strategic initiatives, with increasing levels of responsibility and independence.

+ Ability to translate data and trends into powerful strategies and compelling messaging.

+ Effective networking and influencing skills, with the ability to work across various functions.

+ Effective communication skills, and the ability to take complex, ambiguous topics and create simple, compelling narratives for different audiences.

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

As a Sales Strategy and Operations Lead, you’ll help to set the focus, pace and direction of our business across and unite teams to deliver on Google’s most important business opportunities by challenging and enabling our sales organization.

You’ll support the Media Sales Specialist Director and their team in developing Go-to-Market strategies, drive operational rigor around deployment processes, and enable sales capability development through training and tools. You will work across all areas of the media sales specialist team to identify how we bring Google’s product suite to market including Performance, Display, Video, Deals, Creative, Insights and Analytics.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google’s complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

+ Work closely with Media Sales Product specialist leadership team and vertical teams to develop opportunity sizing and solution strategies, prioritisation and clear OKRs for the region.

+ Support the Media Sales Product specialist teams in developing core strategic business planning processes (top level priorities, resource allocation and operating models).

+ Develop competitive assessments, identifying insights on share of wallet gain opportunities.

+ Partner with local in-market specialists across all product types, APAC Strategy & Operations and Global Product Leads to develop AUNZ product needs & share global priorities/ best practice recommendations.

+ Partner with Specialist teams to recommend, develop and operationalise solution strategies & GTM approach (segmentation, coverage models, lead lists, operational excellence etc).
