Working across both the Omni Payments and PayPal Credit team, the FI Partner Lead will identify new business, maximizing the success of existing products/programs and play an integral role in delivery of new solutions to market.

**Key Responsibilities**

+ Engaging primarily with card issuers, merchant acquirers, networks (scheme’s) and other fintech partners, the successful candidate will be required to ensure PayPal’s business and products are operating optimally with these partners.

+ The successful candidate will be expected to represent PayPal in an exceptionally professional manner while utilizing their excellent communication skills and outstanding thought leadership skills to influence external and internal senior executives.

+ The individual will be required to both be able to sell the benefits of PayPal to prospective partners when the business is taking opportunities to market; ensure PayPal chooses the right partners; and maximizes our business with these partners to deliver our operating KPI’s and business strategy.

+ The individual will work closely with internal stakeholders (HQ based product/portfolio SME’s, Marketing, Technology, Legal and Finance) to lead the development of programs that mutually benefit both PayPal and the partner.

+ The successful candidate will also work with partners to develop joint marketing programs to support our mutual business; as well as leading RFP’s, negotiate commercial terms, contracts and close deals with strategic partners.

**Personal Qualities, Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required**

+ To be successful, the successful candidate must be passionate about digital commerce and have a genuine interest and expertise in the evolving payments landscape, both in Australia and globally, and possess an ability see how PayPal needs to evolve in the changing environment.

+ Familiarity with retail banking products including existing and evolving consumer and merchant Credit products and cards, along with other payments solutions, is a critical. Preferable ability to demonstrate experience launching and rolling out payment products will also be highly regarded, as is experience with Financial Services marketing including the development of joint marketing initiatives.

+ The successful candidate must have a genuine passion for technology and be very “tech savvy”

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or a related field. Master’s Degree is a bonus.

+ 5 years+ experience in digital commerce, Payments, Product Management or Business Development and with experience negotiating with executive decision makers within Payments and Financial Services organizations.

+ A passion and hunger for uncovering new ways to evolve and engage more deeply with consumers and merchants

+ Results oriented, analytical, self-motivated and a “hands on” person with proven ability to meet objectives and targets.

+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, negotiation and presentation skills required.

+ Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team – although the role will see the person interacting with many levels and across several disciplines, it is important that this person be able to self-manage and show initiative by being proactive.
