**About the opportunity**
Our Transport group employs more than 8,000 professionals who support clients with innovative solutions to efficiently move people and goods across the globe. We focus our efforts in Aviation, Bridge, Highway, Ports & Maritime, Planning Services, Transit & Rail and Tunnels.
A new opportunity exists for a Senior Systems Engineer to be based in our Sydney office working on a number of Rail Projects across the region. The main purpose of this role is to support to the development and application of a systematic whole of life systems Engineering Framework in support of engineering project delivery.
+ Defining & scoping customer needs (business and technical needs) and required functionality early in the development cycle.
+ Developing system and sub-system specifications.
+ Application of architectural & design skills to decompose the system specification into a structured hierarchy of progressively smaller but cohesive sub-systems and well-defined interfaces.
+ Implementing continuous change, release & configuration management of the system, sub systems and interfaces.
+ Structured validation, verification and integration whilst continuously considering the complete system problem.
The ideal candidate should have experience in a complex industry, either on construction/design projects, or in maintenance and operation. In addition: –
+ Experience of applying systems engineering on complex projects.
+ Able to demonstrate vast experience of implementing Systems Engineering practice with demonstrable results.
+ Degree qualified in an engineering discipline.
+ Ideally qualified in Systems engineering.
+ Acts in a professional manner with integrity and strives to be a role model for others.
+ Seeks learning in every situation.
+ Resilience, emotional composure, self-management.
+ Sensitive perceptive tactful, interpersonal sensitivity.
