The Construction Engineering Global Business Unit Cloud Engineering Team lives and breathes by the automate everything philosophy.

Our remit is to build and support services and capabilities used by the Engineering and Site teams.

We build and maintain a shared set of products as a managed service to the Engineering and SRE operations teams.

We build production systems and infrastructure in the cloud to support more clients, more products in more locations as the CEGBU continues to grow and transform the construction industry.

A CEGBU Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for developing and enhancing the cloud infrastructure platform used by engineering teams to support the build, deployment and operate the CEGBU applications across multiple geographies.

**Following are some key responsibilities of the role:**

+ Design, Engineering and Administration of Active Directory and Azure

+ Production ready automation and optimization of infrastructure and common services to reduce the cost of deployments and change, while improving scalability and resilience to failure.

+ Drive by example the uplift of software deployments and security standards across all teams.

+ Train and coach engineers in infrastructure and automation technologies to disseminate knowledge and skills across both engineering and SRE teams.

+ Scoping, designing and automating new services, capabilities and proof of concepts

+ Engage in strategic projects ranging from site migrations, re-architectures, to the evaluation and deployment of new technologies across the business.

+ Be an evangelist for change by clearly communicating the vision and the path from current to future state, measuring progress and outcomes along the way.

+ Create new services to help IT/Ops/Dev teams with problem solving and infrastructure solution designs.

+ Foster a culture of trust and accountability.

**To be successful you will require a deep understanding and production grade experience with:**

+ Design, Engineering and Administration of Active Directory and Azure

+ Windows Server Update Service WSUS for Server Infrastructure.

+ Security hardening standards and security frameworks (NIST, ITIL, SOC1/SOC2, ISO27000)

+ Design and implementation of RBAC access control and user management

+ Infrastructure automation with public cloud platforms (Oracle Cloud/Azure/AWS)

+ Network experience in hybrid cloud infrastructure

+ Security architecture and best practices

+ Automation and Scripting, VB and Powershell

+ Terraform, Ansible, Hashicorp Vault, git, source code version control

**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
