Australia – New South Wales, Sydney – AU
Our Sydney Pavement team has several long-term, TfNSW road upgrade projects, providing solid base workload. In addition, you will support our civil and buildings teams in pavement designs for commercial and industrial developments.
As valued members of the Sydney Ground Engineering team, opportunities exist to be involved in projects from the earliest stages of planning, ground investigation, design, and all the way through to construction and operational management phases.
Your demonstrated experience will enable you to immediately contribute to the team. However, ongoing personal development is a major driver of the AECOM business. AECOM provides support and mentoring locally and from the greater ANZ business to ensure our staff develop the skills and experience necessary to meet and exceed our client’s expectations.
Your role will include new pavement design, rehabilitation design, testing and pavement management advisory services. As part of this role you will be given the opportunity to travel and work on a range of assignments across NSW and to be part of the Australia and New Zealand technical practice group to aid in your professional development.
You will also assist in preparation of bids and proposals and attend meetings with contractors and clients, both external and internal and work on multi-disciplinary project design teams. Depending on your interest there is scope to become involved in the management of projects.
Ideally you will have the required experiences:
* Experience across highways, industrial, maritime and airfields sectors would be highly regarded
* Demonstrated experience in using pavement design software such as CIRCLY, Rubicon and HDM4 preferred
* Willing to travel within Australia and overseas for limited periods
* A current NSW driver’s license or a licence that can be readily converted to an NSW licence.
