Summary of Job Description:

A strategic and value-adding partner to brand teams and Infield teams with a focus on driving and supporting performance and the building of new and existing capabilities. This role will identify IFT measures of success and best practice and drive execution for all Infield teams. Reporting to the Head of Learning, this role will support the development and the execution of the IFT strategy and operations and enable the business to build strengths and close gaps in performance execution.

Major Accountabilities:

+ Drive excellence in execution by defining operating rhythm for field teams

+ Provide actionable insights and recommendations to management/teams in order to achieve performance measures and meet business goals

+ Act as an interface between Customer Excellence, sales and brand teams

+ Field time to observe challenger and other CEX capabilities in action

+ Define and drive consistent standards of performance and behaviour for all capabilities

+ To manage complex stakeholder relationships efficiently and effectively to ensure outcome measures and expectations are clear for performance

+ Share best practice with InField teams, and identify challenges in driving best practice

+ Communicate to senior management on IFT actionable insights to identify priority areas of focus

+ Design and embed IFT guide to performance and raise the bar on performance standards

+ Understand measures of success for all elements of performance: Multichannel, data, coaching, business rules and standards


+ Comply with the company’s policies and procedures to meet statutory, quality and business requirements within the overall strategy and objectives of AbbVie

+ Responsible for the quality & performance of themselves and others through Medicines Australia compliance, regulations and standards.


+ Demonstrate advanced communication skills (verbal and written), active listening, effective presentation skills

+ Simplify, clarify and focus, bringing in best practice to Infield teams, acting with agility and being open to adjust and adapt; building a sustainable performance culture

+ Be a change agent who empowers others through advice and expertise and consistency of approach

+ Be confident in coaching and comfortable giving and receiving feedback to management

+ Ensure resources are used optimally; measuring outcomes and analysing available data

+ Ability to understand data and what it means to the business outcomes and improving performance


Education/Experience Required:

+ Demonstrated success in the development, execution of performance strategies within the pharmaceutical and or biotechnology sectors

+ Demonstrated leadership abilities

+ Experience in project management

+ Experience in sales force effectiveness is ideal

+ Proven ability to work effectively in a Matrix Environment

+ Sound knowledge and experience in leading change management initiatives

+ Previous Sales manager experience desirable

+ Ability to Identify actionable insights from multiple data sources

+ Experience in digital business solutions to drive performance
