**Job Summary**

**The Role**

AECOM’s Buildings & Places business has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Acoustic Engineer to join our well-respected Building Services Practice in Brisbane and take part in our teams’ major growth across a variety of diverse projects.

The role contributes to the winning, management and delivery of moderate to large scale infrastructure projects for the acoustics team. It is responsible for the management of resources, budgets and timelines and enhancing client and working relationships. This role will assist with preparing proposals and may include presentations to clients to win work, alongside some or all of the following responsibilities:

+ Work closely with other members of the Acoustics team to deliver infrastructure projects with unique and innovative solutions, representing value for money for our clients.

+ Be able to utilize and grow junior staff to deliver projects, including training/guidance with noise propagation principles and modelling, criteria derivation, client communication and time management.

+ Be able to integrate the delivery of projects with the wider infrastructure team, understanding the interfaces with other disciplines such as civil, environment etc.

+ Develop and maintain a portfolio of infrastructure clients, particularly with local transport regulatory authorities

+ Prepare submissions and bids for standalone Acoustics projects and for Acoustic components in bids involving multiple disciplines.

+ Maintain an understanding of and promote all areas in which AECOM practices, while working in partnership to meet client needs.

**About You**

This is an exciting role focused on supporting and guiding our Acoustics team across infrastructure projects throughout Queensland and Australia, providing excellent opportunity for career progression and exposure to some of our key clients throughout the region.

In order to be considered for this role we are looking for some or all of the following attributes;

+ Relevant tertiary qualification

+ Demonstrated experience in delivering acoustic projects, infrastructure projects in particular, and meeting delivery requirements

+ Experience in successfully leading multi staff projects, ideally on local-market projects with TMR, DES or QR

+ Strong oral and written communication skills, report writing, development of proposals

+ Demonstrated commercial acumen and the ability to develop relationships

+ Knowledge and solid understanding of consulting and a consultancy environment

+ Effective collaboration, degree and level of input and professional assistance given to key contacts including all staff and suppliers

+ Knowledge of relevant acoustic software, e.g. SoundPLAN, INSUL etc.
