As an investment consultant you will work collaboratively with senior consultants and investment analysts, helping us deliver innovative investment solutions and the provision of first-class advice to our clients. This includes a range of advisory services on investment topics such as: investment governance, strategic and dynamic asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager selection and monitoring in addition to general investment advice based on your experience working in the investment (or investment consulting) industry.

**The Role**

+ Strengthen and develop relationships with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects

+ Apply your knowledge of and experience in investments to complete investment analysis, prepare reports and provide advice to clients

+ Liaise with members of the wider investment team (both locally and offshore) to gain the necessary information to provide value-adding solutions to clients

+ Coordinate the workflow of assignments including managing analyst contributions and client expectations

+ Support the generation of new business and contribute to sales by drafting responses to proposal requests

+ Increase efficiency within client teams by identifying ways to improve processes

+ Develop an understanding of our investment strategy, manager research philosophies and processes via exposure to tailored client analysis and reporting

+ Become a competent user of our quantitative tools and software whilst keeping up-to-date with their operation

+ Participate in special projects and practice improvement initiatives

+ Mentor, review and provide feedback to encourage professional development amongst colleagues.

**The Requirements**

+ CFA qualified or progress towards completion of CFA, or equivalent professional qualifications

+ Proven experience in an investment related role, in a consulting organisation, financial services or superannuation industry

+ Knowledge of financial markets and institutional investments across multiple asset classes

+ Experience in a client-service environment with the ability to understand client needs

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to summarise complex information concisely and cohesively

+ A highly developed problem-solving ability with strong numeracy skills

+ Commercially astute self-starter with the confidence to formulate and articulate recommendations clearly and concisely and in the context of client advice

+ Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team

+ The capacity to effectively debate and subsequently influence internal and external stakeholders

+ Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in all work

+ Proven skills in building and maintaining relationships

+ Experience in mentoring colleagues to deliver high quality work
