**What’s the role?**

Reporting directly to the Director of Health, Safety and Security (HSS) you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of health, safety and wellbeing programs across News Corp Australia, Sky News and Foxtel businesses.

+ Partner and coach business Leaders to raise awareness and accountability for the management of Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) risks as part of the team’s strategic plan.

+ Participate in business continuity planning, emergency, and incident management, including Pandemic planning.

+ Manage and oversee the organisation’s injury and claims management (WC), employee assistance (EAP), early intervention, and return to work (RTW) programs and performance.

+ Develop and implement HSW strategies, policies and guidelines that are integrated with team, HR and business strategy.

+ Develop and maintain a Safety Management System that meets legislative requirements and Australian standards.

+ Develop, implement and maintain regular HSW reporting to Directors and Officers to help meet due diligence obligations.

+ Design and implement a contemporary and holistic wellbeing program.

+ Develop training and role based training programs to manage HSW risks.

+ Take responsibility for investigations into serious HSW incidents, including those that require Regulator notification.

+ Partner with external auditors to assess and review HSW practices across the business.

+ Analyse and respond to safety and security performance metrics and audit outcomes.

**Who are you?**

+ Significant experience in HSW management.

+ Demonstrated ability to provide strategic and operational leadership to successfully develop and implement safety policies across the business.

+ Strong understanding of the latest WHS legislation and industry practices.

+ Experienced in the design, development and implementation of HSW management systems.

+ Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships and influence Senior Leadership Teams, Regulators and external industry bodies.

+ Exercising independent judgement and problem solving with the ability to resolve and address issues as they arise.

+ Tertiary qualification in applied Health and Wellbeing, or formal OHS certification such as a Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Work Health and Safety, and Worksafe RTW Accreditation.
