**What we’re doing**
With us, you’ll experience impact. You’ll be part of our CuPID squad which sits within the Customer 360 tribe who are at the heart of our customers B2B experience across all our core markets.
The Customer 360 Tribe are a data platform capability team who own all customer data, the governance of that data, and ultimately, we drive how Customer data extends our Customer Experience. The team build and maintain reusable capabilities and experiences that support our customers commercial, lifecycle and product needs.
The team also provide internal capability and tooling to support our Sales, Marketing and Customer Operations teams.
The CuPID squad’s mission is to transform the way the rest of the business accesses, consumes and draws insights from our Customer data.
The squad is responsible for cleaning up our data, modelling our customer data to represent the real world, create connected customer data and finally make it accessible via the REA Data Platform (BigQuery) for use by any analyst, data science and engineering teams across REA.
As a Senior Data BA you will be responsible for key defining and documenting detailed requirements with product management, ensuring they are well understood by delivery teams, and providing regular analysis and support of our growing system and data footprint.
Since the key product we produce is data, you will be designing the structure of many of our datasets, including fields, field names, structure, data types, link between other datasets, etc.
This role will require excellent communication and collaborative involvement through all stages of product development – from concept and requirements through inception, specification, development, testing, release and retirement.
While no two days are ever the same, you’ll be doing:
+ Requirements gathering from product managers, analysts, tech leads and other business stakeholders to ensure a majority of business needs and use cases are met.
+ Ensuring these requirements are well understood by delivery teams through story kick offs and constant communication.
+ Analysing business processes, workflows and user journeys using techniques such as process maps, value stream maps and story boards.
+ Identifying and communicating any requirement dependencies, issues or risks identified through the analysis process.
+ Documenting our databases and infrastructure landscape using techniques such as data flow diagrams, entity relationship diagrams, data schemas, etc.
+ Enabling retirement of our legacy data warehouse through migration of datasets to BigQuery.
+ Scoping the most valuable datasets for the Customer Platform team to produce and designing detailed data specifications for each.
+ Assisting in the data quality assurance process and testing.
**Who we’re looking for**
+ Expertise in data analysis, data design and data modelling
+ Intermediate to advanced SQL skills
+ Strong knowledge of database concepts
+ A passion for data and how it can be used to solve real problems, as well as pedantic attention to detail
+ Strong analytical skills, including ability to interpret complex business needs and translate into requirements and data specifications for technical solutions
+ A love of documentation to go with excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
+ Familiarity with programming and system design
+ Ability to collaborate and build productive relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
+ Ability to manage the competing demands of multiple projects in a timely manner – #gsd
+ Ability to work productively and autonomously in a fast-paced environment
But we don’t just look for someone based on their skills and expertise. It’s our connection, acceptance and genuine care for each other that makes REA a great place to work.
That means you also need to be:
+ Savvy minded and have curiosity to think a little left of field / outside the box
+ A strong and creative communicator
+ Friendly, approachable and have good relationship management skills
+ An avid contributor to our inclusive culture – we celebrate different perspectives and all play an active role in creating a sense of belonging

**Oh, and by the way:**
At REA we value diversity and inclusion in all forms.
Gender, religion, ethnicity, LBTGIQ+, neurodiversity and so much more. Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized folks tend to only apply when they check every box.
So if you've got the must-haves, dedication and enthusiasm to learn but don't necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch. We'd love to have a chat and see if you could be a great fit.
