This is a new position to support our growing team in Melbourne and will allow you to operate across a multi-functional business, working alongside Project Managers, Engineers, Designers and Civil/Structural Drafters to deliver some of our major projects.

**The Role**

As a Cadet Design Drafter you can expect to experience:

+ Involvement in high profile transport planning projects

+ Learning across all phases of the design process (planning, design and construction)

+ Site visits including to remote places such as Cape York Peninsula and the Torres Straits

+ The latest design software applications

+ Learning from qualified and talented senior Designers and Drafters

Within AECOM there is a defined career structure for our Drafters and Designers. Once you complete your Associate Degree in Engineering you will move into a Technical Officer role where you will continue to be supported and involved in projects to further develop your skills and experience.

+ Can roll up your sleeves and get involved

+ Eager to learn through on the job experience and University study

+ Completion of Year 12 (or equivalent)
