**Job Description Summary**
Lead, develop and direct business strategies and activities of the BD ANZ Diabetes Care business to achieve revenue, sales and profit targets. This role also leads organisation-wide commercial excellence strategy and drives initiatives across BD ANZ.
**Position Title:** **Business Director, Diabetes Care and Commercial Excellence**
Reports to: VP/GM ANZ
Dotted line to VP Diabetes Care, CASA and Japan
+ Develop business strategies, define performance standards and set targets that drive sustainable and profitable growth for the ANZ Diabetes Care business
+ Direct ANZ Diabetes Care activities for the achievement of short and long-term business objectives, increased profit, and market influence
+ Lead, engage and continue to build an effective Diabetes Care and Commercial Excellence team
+ Prepare budgets, reports and forecasts
+ Ensure timely monitoring of performance indicators and implementation of corrective actions
+ Work closely with internal teams to drive channel engagement and distributor management excellence
+ Analyse economic, social, technical, legal and other data or trends for integration into strategic plans
+ Liaise with industry groups, key opinion leaders and government departments to understand changes in forces affecting the ANZ market and to maintain technical and product knowledge
+ Manage close communication with regional teams to ensure focus on key growth drivers and alignment of local strategy with regional and global initiatives
+ Take a holistic approach to decision making such that the interests of other businesses and geographic areas are balanced with the need to advance the ANZ Diabetes Care business
+ Monitor and evaluate individual and team performance
+ Identify, coach and develop talent
+ Lead Sales and Marketing Excellence initiatives including BD Way of Selling and Marketing and pricing excellence
+ Actively participate as a member of the ANZ Leadership Team and in other cross business initiatives to promote organisation-wide interests
+ Ensure all activities of BD Diabetes Care and Commercial Excellence comply with relevant legislation and ethical standards
+ Adhere to the requirements of the Quality Management System as maintained by BD ANZ
**Knowledge and Experience:**
+ 10 years’ experience in business management is preferred
+ Proven leadership skills in talent and operational management
+ Tertiary qualifications in Science and/or Business.
