**Job Role and Responsibility**

As a member of the Global Benefits team, you will have the chance to put your talents to the test with a constantly changing environment and dynamic market need. As VMware grows, so does the complexity of our business. As the Director of Benefits, you will bring deep benefits knowledge of the APJ market to ensure we remain competitive from a benefits perspective. You’ll be able to balance strategic and tactical work when needed, diving deep on analyses and providing resolutions to key business initiatives.

You will build and maintain innovative benefit programs that ensure we maintain our competitiveness, yet still set us apart as an employer of choice. As a leader, you will take ownership of various country benefit programs, yet be flexible enough to work on regional projects.

_Core Responsibilities:_

+ Build internal relationships with business leaders and HR partners to create forward looking solutions for benefits that are market and/or function specific.

+ Manage a team of dynamic benefit analysts and consultants

+ Provide financial oversight of our benefit programs.

+ Represent APJ benefits as part of the global benefits leadership team

+ Manages the renewal/negotiations and proposals for all regional contracts

+ Ability to create and execute programs in ambiguous settings

+ Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience

**_Required Skills:_**

+ Bachelor’s degree is required

+ Minimum 10+ years experience

+ Effectively inspire change laterally across the region by influencing and problem-solving skills

+ Strong understanding of benefit renewals, broker management and compliance regulations

+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, teamwork, and presentation skills to effectively interact with employees and business leaders at all levels

+ Demonstrated ability to evaluate, design and recommend solutions aligned to our business

+ Collaborate with HR Operations and HR Management Partners to deliver regional content

+ Excellent listening and communications skills with the ability to distill complex issues

+ Ability to motivate direct reports by providing an environment that promotes individual growth and reinforces company values and culture

+ Able to prepare budget / cost analysis for benefit proposals and headcount plans as needed

**_Preferred Skills:_**

+ International Benefits experience desired

+ Thrives in a fast-paces, high growth environment

+ Familiarity with online benefit tools a plus
