Our client is looking for a new management accountant to join an existing team and add value to a decision making process that need someone to communicate at the highest levels with the business.
Job Purpose:

Reporting into the Board, this person will be tasked with building strong and successful relationships with senior operational stakeholders in order to influence at the highest level within the organisation. This is not just a financial role – relationship building, commercial insight, process improvement and a certain level of project management are vital in order to drive a better level of performance from the business.

The Management Accountant will proactively work with senior stakeholders to ensure that the Finance function becomes embedded in the business and provides value adding and innovative commercial financial advice. You will design and deliver analysis to drive improved understanding of performance by department and work type. Provide relevant and pragmatic insight and analysis to improve the strategic and operational resource allocation process. Finally, you will also look to drive improved working Capital Management across the business.

The successful candidate will be ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified/finalist with a demonstrable track record in a commercial business partnering role within a fast paced and dynamic organisation. Ideally you will have previous experience of having successfully influenced senior / board Level personnel and decision making and having adopted a proactive approach to a business partnering role.

You will communicate with real confidence and flair and be able to engage and influence senior stakeholders whilst working across the business managing multiple projects.
Principal Accountabilities:

1Provide pro-active support and interpretation for all budget holders in addressing adverse performance against plan, advising on suitable reporting methods as necessary in order to achieve business plans and strategic objectives.

2Assist in preparation and consolidation of detailed budgets, forecasts and forward financial plans for budget holders.

3Utilise corporate systems to provide ad hoc management information and financial reports.

4Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and information for EMT, corporate and directorate leaders, directors, other senior management and budget holders.

5Deputise for the Strategic Accountant as and when required.
